Burnt Mill x Jon Hopkins - Luminous Beings NE IPA

Brewed in support of Rewilding Britain, Luminous Beings has been created to be an intense and full flavoured beer. We've given this IPA extra body resulting in a luscious texture and then dry-hopped with Strata, BRU-1 and Idaho 7 to give juicy flavours of passionfruit, pineapple and mango. Each label depicts features unique constellations created using a generative model trained on Jon's music video for Luminous Beings. 

Generative artist, Johnny Thaw trained a generative model with rough characteristics of constellations from Jon Hopkins video, and gave it parameters that allowed the constellations form in a similar way to chemical formulas, each unique to one another, training the model more and more to create more visually interesting constellations.

This whole collaboration is born of creativity and friendship, and pushing the boundaries of what we could do with both generative and printing technology, with the team at Peter Lynn printing taking on the challenge of printing 3,200 completely unique labels.
